Apprenticeship in Children's
Care, Learning and Development
This course is suitable
for you if:
You want to follow a structured training scheme to qualify you to
work with children from 0 - 16 years (and their families) in
settings or services whose main purpose is children's care, learning
and development.
It is designed for school-leavers and adults between 16 and 24
years.
You need, ideally, to be
based as a practitioner in a childcare setting, although a placement
may be arranged for you initially.
Apprenticeship
Framework
Apprenticeships are
structured training and learning programmes following the
Apprenticeship Framework, specified and monitored by the Learning
and Skills Councils and approved by the Apprenticeship Approvals
Group.
The Apprenticeship Framework is made up of:
● NVQ Level 2 in Children's Care, Learning and Development
● Certificate in Children's Care, Learning and Development
● Employment Responsibilities and Rights (ERR) Unit
● Application of Number Key Skill at Level 1
● Communication Key Skill at Level 1
● 12 hour Paediatric First-Aid course
Course Delivery
The course consists of
both on-the-job training in the workplace and tutorials at a local
venue to deliver associated knowledge and understanding.
Course Duration
18 months to 2 Years
Assessment and
Certification
Assessment of City and Guilds Awards is carried out by qualified and
experienced Crackerjack Training Limited Assessors.
Crackerjack Training and City and Guilds Certificates are awarded on
completion of the qualifications and training courses within the
framework.
